Project Description

Like visiting the Past from the Future, or exploring Mars… There are special places where nature, ruins, abandoned artifacts and absence of human activity generate new landscapes. One of these places is Río Tinto, located in the southwest mountains of Spain, Huelva province (Andalucía, Spain).

There is something unique about this place and this river, a secret recipe of metals: copper, silver and gold among other minerals. Aprox. 3000 years ago this river was already mined for these metals. Excluding the acid mine drainage this is a place really enchanting and so is the energy in the whole area where the mines are located.

The scientific community (astro-biology) and NASA is also interested in this river and it has become a Mars mission testing ground.

Here are some pictures from the trip, before the storm, thunders, lightnings and heavy rains covered the whole place. I dedicate the whole serie of pictures to my family, for sharing the experience and bringing me and my cameras there.
