Project Description
I do not remember when I started to draw portraits and people, but I always felt attracted to the idea of looking through the soul with my pencils and let the forms manifest and become the portrayed person. Is not a photo, but a hand copy of the reality captured with a camera, composed on a blank sheet of paper.
Doing pencil portraits has taught me about proportions, patience, precision and paying attention to details. Understanding the different aspects of shadowing and textures made me develop and learn many different techniques to get more skilled with my pencils and drawing tools. During my studies in art photography and illustration/graphic arts, I developed mostly of my actual skills, since I dedicated many hours everyday to draw from pictures.
These are some my favorite pencil drawings, with non specific order.
